Château Saint Aubin - Bas Armagnac - Brut de Fût No. 686 - Baco - 2021 - 61.6%
The Château Saint-Aubin is nestled in Réans, in the heart of the prestigious terroir of the Gers, within the renowned region of Bas-Armagnac. This exceptional estate belongs to the distinguished Westphal family, originally from Alsace, known for their ancestral expertise and passion for excellence. The estate covers a vast area of 200 hectares, of which 50 hectares are dedicated to quality viticulture, divided into five plots composed of about ten carefully selected grape varieties. The estate's cellar, the result of a vision combining tradition and innovation, was designed by the Westphal family with state-of-the-art modern equipment: cutting-edge machinery ensuring optimal hygiene, an Inertys inert gas press protecting the musts from any oxidation, an ultra-precise thermoregulation system for perfect control of fermentation temperatures, as well as high-end French oak barrels, carefully crafted by the cooper Adour.
This limited edition No. 686 is made exclusively from the Baco grape variety, harvested during the exceptional 2021 vintage. The aging took place in oak barrels from Gers, featuring a medium-fine grain and medium toast made by the renowned cooperage Adour, allowing the full expression of the richness, finesse, and aromatic complexity of this unique Bas-Armagnac. Only 550 bottles were produced, making this cuvée a rare treasure prized by connoisseurs and lovers of exceptional spirits.
