Gaston Legrand - Vintage 1984 - Bas Armagnac - 40%
The Maison Lhéraud is an iconic player in the French terroir, located at the Lasdoux estate in the commune of Angeac, in the Cognac appellation within the magnificent Charentes region. Founded in 1860, when Alexandre Lhéraud first planted his vines in his family garden, the house today continues an exceptional winemaking tradition. The estate covers 85 hectares of vineyards, spread over 2 of the 6 prestigious Cognac crus, mainly in Petite Champagne, known for the finesse and elegance of its eaux-de-vie.
The Lhéraud family passionately manages 5 cellars made of blonde Charente stone, a traditional architecture that guarantees optimal conditions for the natural aging of Limousin oak barrels. These unique cellars allow meticulous and prolonged refinement, essential to the superior quality of the cognacs and armagnacs produced.
Furthermore, from Lannepax in the Gers, Maison Lhéraud extends its expertise to the production of exceptional Armagnacs under the prestigious brand Baron Gaston Legrand. These Armagnacs are carefully crafted by a single distillation of dry white wines from the renowned Ténarèze terroir, using a traditional column still. This artisanal process, combined with ancestral know-how, allows the extraction of the aromatic richness and characteristic depth of these unique spirits.
