Gaston Legrand - Vintage 1989 - Bas Armagnac - 40%
The Maison Lhéraud is located at the Lasdoux estate, situated in the commune of Angeac, right in the heart of the Cognac appellation in Charentes, a region renowned for the excellence of its spirits. Since 1860, when Alexandre Lhéraud first planted vines in his family garden, the house has preserved a unique artisanal know-how. Today, the estate covers 85 hectares of vineyards, carefully spread over 2 of the 6 prestigious Cognac crus, with a predominance of Petite Champagne, an exceptional terroir known for the finesse and elegance of its eaux-de-vie.
The Lhéraud family also owns 5 authentic cellars made of blonde Charente stone, true architectural gems where Limousin oak barrels rest slowly. This natural aging imparts the spirits with unmatched aromatic richness and delicate complexity, typical of the great crus of Armagnac and Cognac.
From its historic estate in Lannepax in the Gers, Maison Lhéraud produces an extensive range of Armagnacs under the prestigious Baron Gaston Legrand appellation. These Armagnacs result from a simple distillation, traditionally made from dry white wines from the exceptional terroir of Ténarèze, in a column still. This process guarantees the purity, authenticity, and aromatic subtlety of each bottle, meeting the highest expectations of connoisseurs.
