Gaston Legrand - Vintage 1970 - Bas Armagnac - 40%
\nThe Maison Lhéraud is located at the Lasdoux estate, in the charming commune of Angeac, right in the prestigious Cognac appellation in Charentes. Since 1860, the year Alexandre Lhéraud planted the first vines in his family garden, the winemaking tradition has remained intact. Today, this estate covers 85 hectares of vineyards carefully distributed between two of the six renowned crus of Cognac, with a predominance of Petite Champagne, known for the exceptional finesse of its grapes. The Lhéraud family also owns 5 historic cellars built from the blonde Charente stone, an ideal environment where Limousin oak barrels patiently rest, ensuring natural aging and optimal maturation of the eaux-de-vie. From Lannepax, nestled in Gers, Maison Lhéraud produces an extensive range of Armagnacs, marketed under the prestigious name of Baron Gaston Legrand. These unique Armagnacs result from a traditional and simple distillation of dry white wines from the exceptional terroir of Ténarèze, made in an efficient column still, which gives them an authentic character and unparalleled quality.
