Gaston Legrand - Vintage 1988 - Bas Armagnac - 40%
The Maison Lhéraud is located at the Lasdoux estate, in the charming commune of Angeac, right in the heart of the Cognac appellation in Charentes, a region renowned for its exceptional spirits. Since 1860, when Alexandre Lhéraud planted the first vines in his garden, the house has embodied a family know-how passed down from generation to generation. Today, the estate covers 85 hectares of vineyards spread over two of the six prestigious Cognac crus, with a predominance of Petite Champagne, known for producing elegant and refined eaux-de-vie.
The Lhéraud family also owns five traditional cellars made of blonde Charente stone, where Limousin oak barrels patiently rest, ensuring a natural and optimal aging of the eaux-de-vie. Based in Lannepax, in the Gers, the Maison produces a wide range of Armagnacs under the Baron Gaston Legrand brand. These exceptional Armagnacs result from a single distillation, made from dry white wines from the rich and typical terroirs of Ténarèze, using a column still to preserve all the aromatic richness and purity of flavors.
