The Domaine Chiroulet is located in the heart of Gers, in the prestigious wine region of Armagnac, in Gascony, world-renowned for its exceptional brandies. Founded in 1893, the estate initially covered 5 hectares dedicated to traditional mixed farming and livestock. Alban Sourbès, a passionate winemaker and distiller, endured the difficult years of phylloxera and managed to preserve the quality and authenticity of the productions until 1935. The property was then passed on to his niece, Suzanne Capmartin, while her husband Albert Fezas undertook an ambitious expansion project, unfortunately interrupted by the Second World War. Today, it is his grandson and current owner, Philippe Fezas, who has revitalized and diversified the estate's activities.
Committed to an exemplary ecological approach, Domaine Chiroulet is in full transition towards organic farming, thus reinforcing its deep respect for the terroir and the environment. The estate applies the innovative principles of agroforestry, promoting a healthy ecosystem around the vines. This exceptional Armagnac is made from the noble Ugni Blanc grape variety, meticulously distilled in 1988 according to the ancestral Armagnac tradition, using a continuous still, guaranteeing finesse and aromatic richness. The aging is done slowly in 400-liter oak barrels as well as vats crafted from the wood of century-old trees from the estate, giving this Armagnac a unique character, a complex bouquet, and great elegance on the palate, a perfect illustration of traditional know-how.
