Gaston Legrand - Vintage 2002 - Bas Armagnac - 40%
The Maison Lhéraud is ideally located at the Lasdoux estate, in the charming commune of Angeac, in the heart of the prestigious Cognac appellation in Charentes. Founded in 1860, with Alexandre Lhéraud as the pioneer who planted the first vines in his garden, this house embodies a recognized ancestral know-how. Today, the estate covers 85 hectares of vineyards spread over two of the six major crus of Cognac, with a notable predominance of Petite Champagne, an exceptional terroir guaranteeing finesse and aromatic complexity. The Lhéraud family also owns five traditional cellars made of blonde Charente stone where Limousin oak barrels rest patiently, thus promoting slow, natural, and high-quality aging. From the Lannepax region in Gers, Maison Lhéraud extends its expertise to the production of a varied range of Armagnacs, marketed under the renowned brand Baron Gaston Legrand. These exceptional Armagnacs are made by single distillation, meticulously carried out from dry white wines from the unique terroir of Ténerèze, using a traditional column still, which guarantees richness, depth, and purity of aromas.
