Gaston Legrand - Vintage 2003 - Bas Armagnac - 40%
The Maison Lhéraud is established at the prestigious Lasdoux estate, located in the commune of Angeac, within the renowned Cognac appellation in Charentes. Founded in 1860, the Lhéraud family made their mark from the very beginning with Alexandre Lhéraud, a pioneer who planted his first vines right in the heart of his garden. Today, this exceptional estate extends over 85 hectares of meticulously maintained vineyards, spread across 2 of the 6 emblematic crus of Cognac, with a notable predominance of Petite Champagne, known for its exceptional terroirs.
The Lhéraud family owns 5 traditional cellars made of blonde Charente stone, where Limousin oak barrels are patiently aged under optimal conditions, promoting a natural and harmonious maturation. Furthermore, from Lannepax, in the heart of Gers, Maison Lhéraud produces a wide range of Armagnacs under the prestigious Baron Gaston Legrand appellation, a symbol of authenticity and quality.
These exceptional Armagnacs come from a simple and controlled distillation of dry white wines from the authentic terroir of Ténarèze, carried out in a traditional column still. This ancestral technique guarantees spirits rich in aromas, both complex and elegant, reflecting the unique expertise of Maison Lhéraud.
