Château Saint Aubin - Bas Armagnac - 4 years - 40% ABV
The Château Saint-Aubin is located in Réans, the heart of the prestigious Bas-Armagnac terroir, in the Gers department. This historic estate belongs to the renowned Westphal family, originally from Alsace, known for their expertise and commitment to producing exceptional spirits. The estate covers 200 hectares, including 50 hectares dedicated to vineyards, passionately cultivated across five distinct plots comprising about ten traditional grape varieties. The cellar harmoniously combines ancestral tradition and modern technologies, featuring state-of-the-art equipment that ensures impeccable hygiene. It is notably equipped with an Inertys inert gas press, delicately protecting the musts from any oxidation, as well as a sophisticated thermoregulation system for precise and automatic control of fermentation temperatures. The wines benefit from aging in high-quality French oak barrels, handcrafted by the renowned cooper Adour, ensuring optimal maturation and exceptional aroma.
This exceptional Bas-Armagnac is a subtle blend of Colombard and Ugni Blanc grape varieties, selected for their aromatic richness and finesse. It undergoes a minimum aging of 4 years in oak barrels, which gives it remarkable complexity, elegant roundness, and perfectly balanced woody notes. The result is a refined spirit, ideal for Armagnac enthusiasts seeking an authentic and profound tasting experience.
