Hontambère - Rare Armagnac Collection - Armagnac - 2013 - Folle Blanche - Single Cask - 49.8%
The Hontambère Distillery is ideally located in Castelnau d’Auzan, in the heart of the prestigious Ténarèze region, within the Armagnac terroir. Under the passionate leadership of Cindy Crighton and thanks to the exceptional expertise of Sylvain Lafargue, Distiller and Cellar Master, this distillery produces fine and authentic eaux-de-vie from the unique vineyard of the estate. This vineyard is carefully planted with the four emblematic grape varieties of Armagnac: Ugni Blanc, Baco, Folle Blanche, and Colombard, ensuring remarkable aromatic diversity. The eau-de-vie is distilled in a century-old Armagnac still, a symbol of tradition and excellence, right in the historic cellars of Hontambère. Recognized both as a producer and bottler, the distillery also offers an exclusive collection including treasures from the famous Pouchégu distillery, reflecting a rich viticultural history. Today, more than 550 barrels rest in the cellars, offering a rare and precious aromatic palette, a true reflection of the Armagnac heritage.
This exceptional Ténarèze Armagnac is made from the Folle Blanche grape variety, distilled in 2013. It has undergone meticulous aging for 11 years in a single cask (#A24) kept in a dry cellar, perfectly suited for optimal aroma development. Bottled in November 2024, this rare Armagnac is limited to 100 bottles, a true collector's item for connoisseurs and lovers of exceptional eaux-de-vie.
