The Domaine Chiroulet is located in the heart of Gers, in the prestigious wine region of Armagnac, right in the center of Gascony. Founded in 1893, this exceptional family estate spans 5 hectares initially dedicated to mixed farming and livestock, embodying over a century of unique artisanal expertise. Alban Sourbès, an experienced winemaker and distiller, endured the hardships of the phylloxera devastation before passing the property in 1935 to his niece Suzanne Capmartin. Her husband, Albert Fezas, had planned an ambitious expansion of the estate, a project interrupted by the uncertainties of World War II. Today, under the leadership of his grandson, the dynamic owner Philippe Fezas, the estate has evolved and diversified its activities to embrace a sustainable and environmentally respectful approach.
Committed to an exemplary ecological transition, Domaine Chiroulet has reached a major milestone by moving towards certified organic farming. This choice strengthens a deep commitment to preserving the surrounding biodiversity and is accompanied by an ambitious agroforestry project. This exceptional Armagnac is distilled mainly from a noble blend of Ugni Blanc (80%) and Colombard (20%) grape varieties, ensuring balance and aromatic finesse. Aged between 15 and 20 years, the eaux-de-vie benefit from slow and controlled maturation in 400-liter oak barrels made from century-old wood harvested directly on the estate.
