Armagnac Laterrade - Bas-Armagnac - 1995 - Domaine de Pariot - Cask Strength - 45.7%
Laterrade is a prestigious independent bottling brand specializing in Armagnac, the emblematic spirit of southwestern France. Vincent Laterrade, originally from Vic-Fezensac, the heart of the Ténarèze in Armagnac, has developed a unique expertise. A former passionate sommelier, he first discovered and highlighted small local producers before founding L’Encantada with two enthusiasts to offer vintage armagnacs from rarely known estates. A collector and hunter of rare armagnacs, Vincent has built a remarkable collection. He then partnered with the Fitte family, owners of Château de Herrebouc in Vic-Fezensac, where he found exceptional vintages ranging from 10 to over 50 years old. His philosophy is clear: to select exclusively vintage armagnacs from a single estate, without any alcohol reduction, blending, or manipulation, to guarantee total purity and authenticity. After the dissolution of this partnership, Vincent carefully recovered his stocks and convinced Stéphane de Luze to entrust him with renovating an abandoned barn on the Château de Briat estate to create a dedicated cellar. Now, the casks he selects belong entirely to him and are marketed under the "Laterrade" label. The spirits come exclusively from recognized artisanal producers in the region, the bottles are made by a local glassmaker, the labels printed on local rag paper, the wax used is French, and the boxes made from wood sourced from French forests, thus emphasizing a strong commitment to the terroir and local economy.
This remarkable Bas-Armagnac was distilled in 1995 at Domaine de Pariot, located in Gaube, a terroir renowned for the finesse and elegance of its eaux-de-vie. This vintage, presented at cask strength of 45.7%, offers an authentic experience, rich in complex aromas and depth, ideal for discerning Armagnac enthusiasts seeking exceptional quality.
