Maison Aurian - Grand Armagnac 1985 - Wu Dram Clan Selection - Single Cask - 44.6%
The Maison Aurian is located in Condom, the historic heart of the Gers, in the prestigious Armagnac region. This artisanal house values 100% natural ingredients: wines, spirits, extracts, and infusions of plants and fruits carefully crafted on site. Concerned about environmental issues, Maison Aurian is fully committed to an exemplary ecological approach by optimizing the recycling of its waste. During the production of its spirits, especially after the maceration and pressing of fruits, organic residues are collected and then sent to the "Biogaz" methanization plant located in Auch, thus contributing to the production of green electricity from biomass.
To strengthen its sustainable commitment, a rainwater recovery system is currently being installed, and projects for integrating solar panels are under study. Today, Maison Aurian is recognized as one of the few trading houses to perpetuate the tradition of the great houses of Condom. Each year, it purchases freshly distilled Armagnac from partner winegrowers who use a mobile distiller. By choosing not to distill their Armagnacs themselves, they guarantee a rigorous selection of the best product available each year, thus ensuring superior quality and incomparable authenticity for their vintage spirits.
This exceptional 1985 vintage Armagnac has been carefully selected by the prestigious Wu Dram Clan, a collective of independent bottlers based in Germany. Founded by Takesado, originally from Japan, Boris from Munich, and Sebastian from the Black Forest, this group stands out for a philosophy focused on qualitative excellence. They make it a point to market only spirits rigorously selected from the best casks. Their exclusive range includes a diversity of Scottish whiskies, cognacs, armagnacs, and rums, guaranteeing enthusiasts rare and precious tasting experiences.
