JEAN CAVE - Armagnac Brut de fût 1992 - 44.20%
The Jean Cavé Armagnacs are carefully crafted in Lannepax, in the heart of the famous Gers, an emblematic region for Armagnac production in France. The prestigious history of the Jean Cavé house began in 1883, when Mr. Jean Cavé, a passionate winemaker from Lannepax, decided to become a "bouilleur éleveur" (distiller and aging cellar master), supported by his wife and two sons. Located in the epicenter of the Armagnac appellation, this family business has spanned four generations, each perfecting the art of distillation, aging, and maturation of Armagnac eaux-de-vie. Today, with over 130 years of expertise and traditions carefully passed down, the Jean Cavé house holds an exceptional stock of old Armagnacs, allowing it to offer its clients a unique and authentic range of rare and sophisticated eaux-de-vie.
The vintages offered by Jean Cavé come exclusively from a single harvest year without any blending with other vintages. This purity guarantees the singularity of the vintage, accurately reflecting the characteristics of a single year, its specific climatic conditions, and the unique expression of the Gascon terroir.
This Jean Cavé Armagnac Brut de Fût 1992, from the best crus of the Gascon terroir, has aged slowly in old "Gros grains" oak barrels with medium toast, giving this eau-de-vie a rich, balanced character and incomparable aromatic complexity.
