JEAN CAVE - Armagnac Brut de fût 1995 - 47.70%
Jean Cavé Armagnacs are produced in Lannepax, in the prestigious department of Gers, the historic cradle of Armagnac. The emblematic history of the Jean Cavé house began in 1883, when Mr. Jean Cavé, a passionate winemaker in Lannepax, established himself as a "bouilleur éleveur" (distiller and aging specialist), surrounded by his wife and two sons. Located at the heart of the Armagnac controlled designation of origin, this family house has passed through four successive generations, recognized for their exceptional expertise in traditional distillation, aging in oak barrels, and the slow maturation of Armagnac eaux-de-vie. With over 130 years of heritage transmission, the Jean Cavé house now holds a precious stock of rare old Armagnacs, allowing it to offer its discerning clientele a unique range of products synonymous with authenticity and excellence.
The Jean Cavé vintages come from a single harvest year, without any blending with other vintages. This method guarantees a full expression of the vintage's uniqueness, revealing the characteristics specific to each year, as well as a faithful reflection of the climatic conditions that influenced the vine and distillation.
This Jean Cavé Armagnac Brut de Fût 1995, from the best crus of the Gascon terroir, has been carefully aged in old "Gros grains" oak barrels with medium toasting, which gives it complex aromas, remarkable roundness on the palate, and exceptional aromatic richness, ideal for lovers of characterful Armagnac.
