The story of A1710 begins in 1710, thanks to the passion of Jean Assier. Today, Yves Assier de Pompignan, his direct descendant, breathes new life into the Habitation du Simon distillery with a fresh dynamic focused on excellence and authenticity. The distillery, an iconic symbol of Martinique, stands out for its Charentais copper still named “Belle Aline”, equipped with 7 plates, a true technological jewel guaranteeing finesse and aromatic complexity.
To create the Perle of the 2017 Vintage, only the best fresh sugar canes, hand-harvested, are selected and immediately crushed after cutting. This raw material is then subjected to slow fermentation for 5 days, under strict temperature control, thus promoting the development of rich and complex aromas. The distillation takes place in the Belle Aline still, giving the rum a rare and refined identity.
