RHUM NEISSON - Exceptional Amber Rum - Profile 107 - 52.8% ABV
The Neisson house, an emblem of Martinican tradition, was founded in 1931 during the interwar period by brothers Adrien and Hildebert Pamphile, nicknamed Jean Neisson. They then acquired the La Thieulbert estate, a 20-hectare plantation located in the northwest of Martinique, near Saint-Pierre, at the majestic foot of Mount Pelée. Adrien, the elder, undertook the creation of a small artisanal distillery while Jean completed his studies in Paris. The elder devoted himself to rum production on the island, while the younger, driven by a deep passion, created an import-export company to market these exceptional rums in Paris. His innovative vision led him to improve the distillation technique by commissioning a Savalle column modified according to his specific instructions, to raise the quality and excellence of Neisson rums.
Today, perpetuating the family know-how, the Neisson distillery remains one of the last independent distilleries in Martinique, exclusively cultivating its own 40 hectares of sugarcane to guarantee unparalleled authenticity and traceability.
Neisson Profile 107 is made from a white rum rigorously selected for its remarkable aromatic intensity. This rum was aged for 14 months in 190-liter American oak ex-bourbon barrels starting from December 20, 2016. It was then transferred into 225-liter oak barrels with a unique heating profile No. 107, specific to this product, which gives it its rich aromas and complex structure, fully justifying its name.
