The Neisson Distillery, an essential emblem of Martinique's agricultural rum, is ideally located in the heart of Carbet, in Martinique. Founded in 1932 by the Neisson family, the brothers Jean and his descendants have perpetuated exceptional know-how. A chemical engineer by training, Jean Neisson dedicated his life to perfecting the artisanal distillation techniques that have made this house renowned today. The family transmission continued with Claudine, then her son Grégory, who uphold the values of authenticity and respect for the environment. Since 2013, the distillery has committed to a transition to organic farming, becoming a pioneer with the release in 2016 of the first certified organic rum AOC Martinique. Gradually, more than 40 hectares of land have been converted to this sustainable agriculture.
Over the years, Neisson has developed a unique mastery of fermentation by using its own strains of indigenous yeasts, rigorously selected from those naturally present on the cultivated canes. This process guarantees an exclusive aromatic profile and consistent quality. The distillery applies a respectful approach to local biodiversity: reasoned selection of cane varieties adapted to each plot, optimal irrigation management to preserve water resources, and advanced effluent treatment. Each step is designed to optimize the quality of agricultural rums while ensuring a perfect harmony with the surrounding ecosystem, making Neisson an eco-responsible reference in the world of terroir rum.
Balance Profile is a subtle and refined blend of three rums aged in new American oak barrels for 12 to 24 months from the "Profile" range: Profile 62, Profile 105, and Profile 107. This unique cuvée expresses a remarkable balance between power and softness, reflecting the soul of the distillery. The elegant aesthetics of the bottle are enhanced by an original artwork hand-painted by the talented Carole Aurore, a recognized contemporary Martiniquan artist, who brings a precious artistic and cultural dimension to this exceptional rum.
