DAMOISEAU - Old Rum - VO - 42%
The Damoiseau Distillery is a prestigious rum distillery located in Guadeloupe, renowned for the exceptional quality of its agricultural rums. Founded in 1942 by Roger Damoiseau, a visionary engineer who bought the Bellevue estate when it was abandoned, this distillery has been reborn thanks to ancestral expertise in processing sugarcane. Initially a producer of artisanal candies and jams, the estate quickly specialized in rum production, becoming the main activity and a symbol of unique know-how. In 1968, the family succession was organized with Roger's son focusing his efforts on the bulk rum market, thus expanding the house's reputation. Today, under the direction of Hervé Damoiseau since 1995, supported by Jean-Luc, master distiller since 1978, and Sandrine, marketing manager, the Damoiseau Distillery benefits from an exceptionally sunny microclimate and rich limestone soils, ideal for cultivating traditional sugarcane that gives full aromatic richness to the rums produced.
The Damoiseau Old Rum VO is an exceptional rum, carefully aged for 3 years in oak barrels at the heart of the Bellevue distillery, located in Le Moule, Guadeloupe. This aging gives the rum a perfect balance between power and finesse, revealing woody, spicy, and vanilla notes that will delight both amateurs and connoisseurs. Damoiseau's VO is an essential reference in the world of old agricultural rums, embodying respect for Guadeloupean traditions and artisanal excellence.
