RHUM CLEMENT - XO - 42% The prestigious Acajou estate was established in 1700 and quickly expanded to cultivate up to 160 hectares of sugar cane. In 1883, following a seizure by Crédit Foncier Colonial, Homère Clément acquired the property and founded the famous Rhum Clément brand. In 1917, he built the distillery to meet the high demand generated by the war. The distillery remained in the Clément family for three generations before being sold to brothers Yves and Bernard Hayot in 1986. Subsequently, in 1988, distillation activities were transferred to Habitation Simon, while all other production activities remained at Habitation Acajou. Rhum Clément XO is an exceptional aged rum, patiently matured in oak barrels for a minimum of 6 years. Its first year of aging takes place in French oak barrels, then it continues maturing in barrels that previously held Bourbon, giving it a unique aromatic palette. Repeatedly awarded at international competitions, this rum stands out for its complexity and remarkable woodiness. On the palate, it reveals subtle notes of vanilla, white pepper, and spices, offering a sophisticated and refined tasting experience.
