BIELLE - White Rum - Organic - 59%
The Bielle distillery is ideally located on the exceptional island of Marie-Galante, a jewel of the French Antilles, renowned for the unparalleled quality of its agricultural rums. As early as 1769, Jean-Pierre Bielle was already cultivating coffee there, but it was in 1826 that his sons founded a 53-hectare refinery-sugar factory, marking the historic beginnings of local rum production. True distillation at the estate began at the beginning of the 20th<\/sup> century. After a period of abandonment during World War II, the property was bought in 1955 by Paul Rameaux. In 1975, the SEDB (Société d’Exploitation de la Distillerie Bielle) took over the main house, the distillery, and the lands. Today, the Bielle distillery is undoubtedly one of the most prestigious and renowned in the Antilles, recognized for the purity and richness of its organic white rums at 59%. The sugar cane used comes exclusively from small local producers committed to organic and sustainable farming. The cane juice is extracted using two traditional mills and then naturally fermented for 48 hours before being finely distilled according to a unique know-how using three Savalle stainless steel columns, thus guaranteeing exceptional aromatic quality and perfect traceability.
