The Massenez Distillery is located in Dieffenbach-au-Val, in Alsace, a region renowned for its traditional distillation expertise. Founded in 1870 by Jean-Baptiste Massenez, a passionate master distiller, this family business has successfully passed through generations by maintaining exceptional craftsmanship. In 1913, his son Eugène Massenez innovated by distilling wild raspberry eau-de-vie for the first time, which was highly praised by the Queen of Sweden, granting the distillery the prestigious status of official supplier to the Swedish royal court. The third generation, represented by Gabriel Eugène, enhanced the distillery's reputation by establishing partnerships with renowned Michelin-starred chefs such as Bocuse, as well as iconic restaurants like La Tour d’Argent. To meet sustained growth, a new modern distillery opened its doors in 1979. Today, the brand is distributed in over 110 countries, with a constant diversification of its range of artisanal products. In 2010, Massenez Distillery joined the ranks of the Grandes Distilleries Peureux. Bernard Baud, President of Grandes Distilleries Peureux, whose reputation is well established especially with the famous brand Les Griottines, has given new momentum to Massenez Distillery while preserving the heritage and unique identity of this exceptional house.
A liqueur is composed of a neutral alcohol, sweetened and carefully flavored. Fruit cream liqueurs, including banana cream, belong to the large family of liqueurs characterized by a higher sugar content. The main distinction between a liqueur and a fruit cream lies in the sugar content: a liqueur contains at least 100 g\/L of sugar with an alcohol content between 15 and 55%, while liqueurs exceeding 250 g\/L of sugar are designated as "creams." Fruit creams and liqueurs are highly appreciated in the creation of elaborate cocktails, but also as digestifs to enhance meals, or as refined ingredients in gastronomy and pastry.
