The Distillerie Massenez, nestled in Dieffenbach-au-Val in Alsace, is a historic reference in the world of quality spirits. Founded in 1870 by Jean-Baptiste Massenez, a passionate master distiller, it embodies more than a century of artisanal know-how. In 1913, his son Eugène Massenez innovated by distilling wild raspberry eau-de-vie for the first time, highly appreciated by the Queen of Sweden, which propelled the house to the status of official supplier to the Swedish royal court. The third generation, led by Gabriel Eugène, consolidated the distillery's reputation by working closely with French haute gastronomy, notably with starred chefs such as Paul Bocuse and prestigious culinary institutions like La Tour d’Argent. Facing sustained growth, a new ultra-modern distillery opened its doors in 1979. The liqueur is a neutral alcohol delicately sweetened and flavored, belonging to the family of fruit creams. The main distinction between a liqueur and a fruit cream lies in their sugar content. A liqueur contains a minimum of 100 g of sugar per liter and has an alcohol content between 15% and 55%. When the sugar concentration exceeds 250 g per liter, the product is then qualified as a "cream."
