The Massenez Distillery is ideally located in Dieffenbach-au-Val, in the heart of the prestigious Alsace wine region. Founded in 1870 by Jean-Baptiste Massenez, an expert distiller, this traditional distillery carries on a century-old expertise in the art of fruit distillation. In 1913, Eugène Massenez, the founder's son, made a major breakthrough by distilling wild raspberry eau-de-vie for the first time, a creation quickly praised by the Queen of Sweden. The Massenez Distillery then became the official supplier to the Swedish royal court. Later, Gabriel Eugène, representing the third generation, brought unprecedented dynamism by forging prestigious partnerships with starred chefs such as Paul Bocuse and renowned gastronomic institutions like La Tour d’Argent. Facing growing success, a new modern distillery was established in 1979 to meet increased demand. The brand has since expanded its presence to over 110 countries and significantly broadened its range of exceptional products. In 2010, the Massenez Distillery joined the ranks of the Grandes Distilleries Peureux, leaders in the spirits world, led by Bernard Baud, notably recognized for the famous Griottines. This strategic alliance brought new momentum while preserving the authenticity and unique DNA of the House.
A liqueur is made from a neutral alcohol, carefully sweetened and flavored to offer a rich and balanced tasting experience. The fruit cream, closely related to liqueurs, mainly differs by its higher sugar content. To clarify, liqueurs contain a minimum of 100 g\/L of sugar with an alcohol content ranging from 15 to 55%, while products exceeding 250 g of sugar per liter are called "creams." These delicious fruit liqueurs and creams are versatile: ideal for creating refined cocktails, appreciated as a digestif to elegantly conclude a meal, and perfectly suited to culinary arts to enhance sauces and desserts.
