Massenez Distillery - Melon Liqueur - 18%

The Massenez Distillery is located in Dieffenbach-au-Val, in the heart of the Alsace wine region, renowned for its ancestral expertise. Founded in 1870 by Jean-Baptiste Massenez, a passionate master distiller, this family business has preserved a tradition of excellence and innovation. In 1913, his son Eugène Massenez created for the first time a wild raspberry eau-de-vie, a subtle flavor that notably charmed the Queen of Sweden. Since then, Massenez Distillery has become an official supplier to the Swedish royal courts. Under the leadership of Gabriel Eugène, representing the third generation, the house distinguished itself by partnering with haute cuisine, collaborating with renowned starred chefs such as Bocuse and prestigious establishments like La Tour d’Argent. Facing sustained growth, a new modern distillery opened its doors in 1979. Today, the brand exports to more than 110 countries and offers a diverse range of refined spirits. In 2010, Massenez Distillery joined the Clos des Spiritueux group, strengthening its position thanks to the expertise of Bernard Baud, President of Grandes Distilleries Peureux, famous for its Griottines, who brought new momentum while respecting the authenticity and historical DNA of the house.

Liqueur is a distilled, neutral alcohol then enriched with sugar and natural flavors. The fruit cream is an integral part of this large family. The specificity between liqueur and fruit cream lies in the sugar content: a liqueur must contain at least 100 g/L of sugar and have an alcohol content between 15% and 55%. If the sugar content exceeds 250 grams per liter, the product is then qualified as a "cream." These fruit liqueurs and creams are perfectly suited for preparing sophisticated cocktails but are also highly appreciated as digestifs or in cooking to enhance desserts and refined dishes.
