Italicus is an exceptional liqueur produced in a family-run artisanal distillery dating back to 1906, located in Moncalieri, on the outskirts of Turin in Italy. Inspired by the rich traditions of Turin's Rosolio, a famous historic Italian aperitif from the 19th century made from a skillful blend of aromatic herbs, fruits, and spices, Giuseppe Gallo recreated Italicus to celebrate and promote authentic Italian culture on the international stage. Rosolio, highly prized in the 19th century, symbolized the richness of Italian terroirs, with each region developing its own unique recipe and expertise.

The bergamot fruit used in Italicus is carefully harvested in a region of Italy recognized and protected by UNESCO, located in Calabria, while the citron comes from the iconic orchards of Sicily. These excellent natural ingredients are incorporated into an exclusive artisanal cold infusion process called "Sfumatura", which delicately extracts the pure essence and the most delicate essential oils of these unique citrus fruits. This concentrated aroma is then harmoniously blended with a neutral Italian grain alcohol, ensuring a perfect balance of freshness, complexity, and authenticity.
