DILLON - Brut Fût - Vintage 2013 - 62%
The Dillon Distillery is located in Martinique . The team carries out various trades (agriculture, distillation, bottling and marketing) in several areas of Martinique: in Saint-Pierre at the foot of Mount Pelée, in Basse-Pointe on the Atlantic coast and in Fort-de-France. Its history dates back to 1779 with the arrival of the Dillon regiment in Martinique and the rum distillery was built in 1869. In 1891, it was devastated by a cyclone. The current buildings will be rebuilt in 1928 by Raphaël Domergue . The Bardinet group bought the Dillon distillery in 1967, which obtained the AOC "Rhum de la Martinique" in 1996. Agricultural rums are made solely from the distillation of fermented sugar cane juice. The distillery implements sustainable development : no chemical fertilizers or pesticides during production, irrigation produced from distillation residues to obtain pure water, photovoltaic panels and production of methane recovered in the form of electricity.
This old agricultural rum was distilled in 2013 and aged in small French oak barrels. 1,750 bottles were produced.
