BOLOGNE - Grande Savane - Organic - Single Parcel Cuvée - 61.2%
The Bologne Distillery is ideally located in Guadeloupe, a region renowned for the exceptional quality of its agricultural rums. Operating since 1887, it bears the name of the former owners of the sugar factory situated on the fertile lands of the slopes of the majestic Soufrière. A Protestant family, the Bolognes migrated to Holland during the religious wars, then settled in 1580 in Brazil, then a Dutch colony, to cultivate sugar cane. After being forced to leave Brazil and then Martinique, the Bolognes established themselves in Guadeloupe from 1654 onwards. The Bologne sugar estate, like other historic sugar factories, went through the upheavals related to colonial history and the French Revolution. Thanks to the visionary drive of Louis Sargenton-Callarden in 1930, the estate specialized in the production of high-quality Rhum Agricole, recognized worldwide for its authenticity and finesse.
Grande Savane is the first emblematic parcel of the estate worked under organic farming, guaranteeing a natural and environmentally respectful product. This single parcel cuvée at 61.2% alcohol perfectly expresses the unique terroir of Guadeloupe and the aromatic richness derived from sustainable cultivation. Thanks to its ancestral know-how, the Bologne Distillery offers an exceptional rum combining tradition and sustainable innovation, appreciated by connoisseurs and enthusiasts worldwide.
