BIELLE - Aged Rum - 3 years - 41% ABV
The Bielle distillery, emblematic of rum craftsmanship in the French Antilles, is ideally located on the paradisiacal island of Marie-Galante. Founded on a rich family history dating back to 1769 with Jean-Pierre Bielle, initially a coffee planter, the estate evolved towards rum production at the beginning of the 20th century. After a period of abandonment following World War II, Paul Rameaux revived the distillery in 1955. Then, in 1975, the Société d’Exploitation de la Distillerie Bielle (SEDB) took over, modernizing and enhancing the tradition. Today recognized as one of the most prestigious distilleries in the Antilles, Bielle works exclusively with small local producers, guaranteeing the authenticity and quality of its raw materials. The sugarcane is pressed using two traditional mills, producing a juice fermented for 48 hours, then distilled in three stainless steel Savalle columns, a technique ensuring finesse and purity of aromas. This 3-year-old aged rum, at 41% ABV, embodies the perfect blend of ancestral know-how and contemporary excellence.
