BIELLE - Blanc Baltazia - 59%
The Bielle distillery, emblematic of the paradisiacal island of Marie-Galante in the French Antilles, stands as an essential reference in the world of exceptional spirits. Since 1769, Jean-Pierre Bielle was already cultivating coffee there, before his heirs transformed this fertile land in 1826 into a prosperous refinery-sugar factory covering 53 hectares. The rum production of the estate truly began at the start of the 20th century, driven by a family passion that continues to this day. After a period of abandonment following World War II, Paul Rameaux revived this gem in 1955. In 1975, the management of the property, the main house, and the distillery was vigorously taken over by the SEDB (Société d’Exploitation de la Distillerie Bielle).
Today, the Bielle distillery is among the most renowned in the French Antilles, recognized for its authentic know-how and commitment to quality. The sugar cane used comes exclusively from small local producers, ensuring impeccable traceability and supporting the local economy. The cane juice is extracted using two traditional mills before being fermented for 48 hours, then distilled in three stainless steel Savalle columns, a process combining tradition and modern technology for an exceptional result.
This unique edition is made from a rare local variety of sugar cane, the baltazia cane, which gives this white rum an incomparable aromatic signature and rich taste.
