DILLON - Brut de Colonne - 71.3%
The Dillon Distillery is located in the heart of Martinique, an island renowned for its exceptional agricultural rums. The passionate team at this traditional distillery performs several key roles, ranging from sustainable agriculture to artisanal distillation, bottling, and marketing. Present in several strategic areas of Martinique – in Saint-Pierre at the majestic foot of Mount Pelée, in Basse-Pointe on the Atlantic coast, and in Fort-de-France – the Dillon distillery combines historical know-how with ecological innovation.
Its history begins in 1779, with the arrival of the Dillon regiment in Martinique, and the construction of the rum distillery in 1869. Although devastated by a cyclone in 1891, the distillery was rebuilt in 1928 by the visionary Raphaël Domergue. In 1967, the prestigious Bardinet group took over the distillery, which was recognized in 1996 by obtaining the AOC Rhum de la Martinique, a guarantee of authenticity and superior quality.
Dillon's agricultural rums are made exclusively from fermented sugarcane juice, without additives, ensuring a natural product rich in aromas. The distillery is firmly committed to an exemplary sustainable development approach: no use of chemical fertilizers or pesticides, ecological irrigation through the reuse of distillation residues producing pure water, integration of photovoltaic panels for clean energy, and methane production reused to generate green electricity.
This exclusive Brut de Colonne edition is a powerful and authentic white rum, bottled in 2019 at an exceptional strength of 71.3%. It embodies all the richness and tradition of the Martinican terroir, ideal for enthusiasts seeking an intense and unforgettable sensory experience.
