RHUM LONGUETEAU - Exclusive Cuvée of the Confrérie du Rhum - Single Cask No. 44 - 6 years old - 48.6% ABV
The prestigious Longueteau family settled in Guadeloupe as early as 1766, but it was at the very end of the 19th century that Louis-Philippe Henry Longueteau revolutionized local production by acquiring part of the famous Marquisat de Sainte-Marie. This estate, auctioned due to the major crisis in the sugar industry, houses the Habitation Espérance, purchased in 1895 to transform the old sugar factory into an exceptional distillery. Today, it is with passion that François Longueteau continues this unique heritage, running the only Guadeloupean distillery where the owner is both the farmer and the master distiller, thus ensuring complete control over quality.
Longueteau rums are made exclusively from sugarcane grown on their own lands. The cane is carefully harvested and crushed on the same day at full maturity to preserve all the aromatic richness. After an optimal natural fermentation of 48 hours without any additives or inputs, the juices are precisely distilled in a 28-plate Savalle column, producing a rum with authentic and refined character.
This exceptional Longueteau cuvée, developed in partnership with the renowned Confrérie du Rhum, comes from a single barrel (Single Cask No. 44) made from blue cane. Aged patiently for 6 years in oak barrels, this rum reveals depth and aromatic complexity. This rare vintage comprises only 389 numbered bottles, intended for discerning enthusiasts and collectors seeking authenticity and excellence.
