BIELLE - White Rum - 59% - 1 Liter
The Bielle distillery, a jewel of the Caribbean terroir, is located on the splendid island of Marie-Galante, in the heart of the French Antilles. Founded in a rich historical context, this distillery traces its roots back to 1769 when Jean-Pierre Bielle cultivated coffee on this paradisiacal island. In 1826, his sons joined forces to create a refinery-sugar factory covering 53 hectares. However, artisanal rum production at the estate truly began only at the beginning of the 20th century. After a period of abandonment following World War II, the property was purchased in 1955 by Paul Rameaux. Then, in 1975, the management of the estate, including the residence and the distillery, was entrusted to the SEDB (Société d’Exploitation de la Distillerie Bielle).
Today, the Bielle distillery is recognized as one of the most prestigious and authentic in the Antilles, thanks to unparalleled traditional know-how and unwavering commitment to quality. The sugar cane used comes exclusively from small local producers, ensuring an authentic product respectful of the terroir. The cane juice is extracted using two mechanical mills before being carefully fermented for 48 hours. Distillation is carried out using three Savalle stainless steel columns, an artisanal technique that enhances the aromas and purity of Bielle white rum. This 59% alcohol rum embodies all the soul and intensity of the Antilles in every liter.
