The Neisson Distillery, emblematic of high-quality agricole rum production, is ideally located in the heart of Carbet in Martinique. Founded in 1932 by the Neisson brothers, it holds a unique heritage combining tradition and excellence. Jean Neisson, a chemical engineer by training, dedicated his life to perfecting artisanal distillation processes, ensuring aromas of rare purity. His descendants, Claudine and then her son Grégory, continue this family passion with a deep commitment to the environment and quality.
Since 2013, the distillery has embarked on a major transition towards certified organic farming, pioneering by offering from 2016 the first organic AOC Martinique rum on the market, reflecting an exceptional terroir. Today, more than 40 hectares of land benefit from cultivation respectful of biodiversity, sustainable agricultural practices, and optimized resource management such as water. Thanks to a rigorous selection of indigenous yeasts specific to the cultivated canes, Neisson guarantees a unique natural fermentation that enhances the aromatic richness of its rums.
The precise choice of cane varieties, adapted according to the parcel typology, the controlled use of irrigation to preserve water, as well as efficient treatment of agricultural effluents, contribute to responsible and sustainable production.
