CHANTAL COMTE - White Rum - Fighting Spirit Gold - 50%
Coming from a family established in the Antilles since 1964, Chantal Comte developed a deep passion for rum, initiated by two undisputed masters in the field: André Depaz and Paul Hayot. A recognized owner of the Domaine du Château de la Tuilerie in Nîmes, where she was the winemaker, she now dedicates all her expertise to the profession of selecting exceptional rums, which she has practiced with rigor and passion for over thirty years. It was André Depaz, the emblematic owner of the Plantation de la Montagne Pelée, who encouraged her to create this innovative profession in the rum sector – a role similar to that of the "whisky blender and bottler" in the whisky world – thus revolutionizing the selection and enhancement of exceptional spirits.
The term "Fighting Spirit" draws its roots from Irish rugby, embodying a manly spirit of desire for victory rather than violence. This name also symbolizes a tribute to the spirits that played a crucial role during the world conflicts of 1914-18 and 1939-45, when rum represented the essential moral support for soldiers on the front lines. This exceptional white rum is part of Chantal Comte's prestigious collection, alongside the previous "Fighting Spirit Red Line" and "Fighting Spirit Blue" references. The "Fighting Spirit Gold" stands out for its unique power and enchanting floral softness, enhanced by a precious bottle that highlights this exceptional cuvée.
Produced by the Distillerie du Simon, located on the Atlantic coast of Martinique, this exceptional rum is limited to only 6,000 bottles, screen-printed specifically for Chantal Comte before bottling in April 2017. Each bottle embodies the excellence and typicity of a unique Martinican terroir, offering enthusiasts a rare and memorable tasting experience.
