The independent bottler Michel Couvreur originally was a winemaker and exceptional Burgundy wine merchant. Since 1978, he has dedicated his passion to whisky, with a historic first distillation carried out at the Edradour distillery in 1986. His initial dream was to acquire a distillery in Scotland, but he ultimately chose to establish his unique aging and finishing workshop in Bouze-Lès-Beaune, in the heart of Burgundy, halfway between Scotland and Andalusia. Michel Couvreur is renowned for his unparalleled mastery of aging in sherry and port casks, bringing aromatic richness and unmatched complexity to his whiskies. His range is built around rigorous selection, precise blending, and innovative techniques, ensuring exceptional quality in every bottle. Since his death in 2013, his son-in-law Cyril Deschamps and his wife Alexandra have passionately and skillfully continued Michel Couvreur's meticulous work, strengthening the brand's international reputation.

Clearach is a whisky aged for a minimum of 3 years in Oloroso sherry casks, which gives it rich, fruity, and slightly spicy notes. This exclusive edition was distilled in 2018 and carefully bottled in 2021, perfectly respecting the optimal maturation cycle to offer a tasting experience of great finesse.
