Gadyamb is an iconic brand of artisanal arranged rums, passionately created by Étienne and Julien. These two founders met in 1999 in Saint Joseph, in the heart of the southern tip of Réunion Island, an exceptional terroir renowned for the richness of its rum traditions. After leaving the island to pursue higher education in mainland France, they decided in 2018 to put their respective careers on hold — one as a media consultant and the other as a chef — to realize a dream born during the long mainland winters: to create Les Arrangés Gadyamb, a range of authentic and refined arranged rums. Their expertise is based on three essential pillars that guarantee unmatched quality: trusted partners, passionate producers respectful of the soil and ancestral traditions; a rigorous selection of ingredients, with fruits harvested at optimal maturity, carefully cut and hand-processed to preserve all their natural aromas; and finally, a unique maceration method, including a barrel aging before filtration, ensuring a stable, clear, impurity-free final product.
Gadyamb thus highlights the cultural richness and exceptional diversity of the Réunion terroir through an exclusive series of two unique bottlings. Among them, two white rums from the prestigious Distillerie Savanna were carefully selected, aged in barrels, then refined and bottled with care by Gadyamb, guaranteeing a unique and authentic tasting experience.
The Cuvée Baleine stands out for its harmonious blend combining 65% molasses rum and 35% agricole rum, both aged for 2 years in a continental climate, allowing slow and controlled aging. This maturation takes place in American oak barrels, followed by a subtle refinement in ex-Bourbon barrels which imparts balanced woody notes and a delicate roundness on the palate.
