The Distillerie Massenez is located in Dieffenbach-au-Val, in the heart of the beautiful Alsace region. Founded in 1870 by Jean-Baptiste Massenez, a passionate master distiller, it has embodied French artisanal excellence for over a century. In 1913, his son Eugène Massenez revolutionized distillation by creating for the first time a wild raspberry eau-de-vie, highly appreciated by the Queen of Sweden, which earned the distillery the title of official supplier to the Swedish royal court. The third generation, represented by Gabriel Eugène, consolidated the house's reputation by captivating French haute gastronomy, collaborating with renowned starred chefs such as Bocuse and culinary institutions like La Tour d’Argent. In response to sustained growth, a new modern distillery was inaugurated in 1979. Today, the brand is present in more than 110 countries, continuously diversifying its range of exceptional eaux-de-vie, liqueurs, and fruit creams. Since 2010, Distillerie Massenez has proudly been part of the Grandes Distilleries Peureux. Bernard Baud, President of Grandes Distilleries Peureux, famous for his renowned Griottines, has infused new dynamism into the house while preserving its rich heritage and unique know-how.
The liqueur stands out as a carefully sweetened and delicately flavored neutral alcohol, highly prized for its versatility. Fruit cream, on the other hand, is an integral part of the large family of liqueurs, with a major difference: its richness in sugar. Indeed, a liqueur contains at least 100 g\/L of sugar and has an alcohol content between 15 and 55%. Liqueurs with sugar content exceeding 250 grams per liter are called "creams." These exceptional products are ideal for preparing refined cocktails, but also as a digestif or in cooking, to enhance desserts and gourmet dishes. Discover this authentic and artisanal tradition with Clos des Spiritueux, our exclusive selection of high-end liqueurs and fruit creams, combining passion, heritage, and innovation to awaken your senses.
