The Distillerie Massenez, emblematic of artisanal excellence, is located in Dieffenbach-au-Val, in the heart of the prestigious Alsace region. Founded in 1870 by Jean-Baptiste Massenez, a master distiller, this distillery continues an exceptional family tradition. In 1913, Eugène Massenez, the founder's son, innovated by distilling the delicate wild raspberry for the first time, a spirit highly prized by the Queen of Sweden, granting the distillery the status of official supplier to the Swedish royal court. Under the leadership of Gabriel Eugène, the third generation, the house strengthened its reputation by partnering with French haute cuisine, collaborating with starred chefs like Bocuse and prestigious establishments such as La Tour d’Argent. Facing sustained growth, a new distillery was established in 1979 to meet demand. Today, the brand is distributed in over 110 countries and offers a diverse range of refined products. In 2010, Distillerie Massenez joined forces with the Grandes Distilleries Peureux, known for their Griottines, thanks to Bernard Baud, a visionary president who managed to drive renewal while preserving the house's authenticity and unique know-how.
