Belize 2008 comes from a renowned distillery located in Belmopan. The molasses, obtained from freshly crushed locally grown sugarcane, is naturally fermented before being distilled in a highly precise triple column continuous still. This exceptional vintage first underwent traditional aging for 3 years in Belize in intensely charred American Bourbon barrels, which imparts powerful and warm notes. Subsequently, it is transferred to white oak bourbon barrels that previously held other prestigious Caribbean rums, where it continues its refinement for an additional 10 years in Europe, thus developing a unique aromatic complexity and remarkable depth.
