Whisky MICHEL COUVREUR - Intravaganza - 50%
The independent bottler Michel Couvreur originally was a renowned producer and merchant of Burgundy wine. A true pioneer, he turned to the world of whisky in 1978 and carried out his first distillation at Edradour in 1986. At that time, driven by the desire to acquire a distillery in Scotland, he chose, despite his wife's opposition, to settle in Bouze-Lès-Beaune, a strategic location halfway between Scotland and Andalusia. This unique place allows him to dedicate himself to the aging and maturation of exceptional whiskies, mainly refined in Sherry and Port casks. His prestigious range stands out for its great diversity, thanks to meticulous blending work, rigorous selection of new casks, and innovative maturation techniques that are perfected every day. Since Michel Couvreur's death in 2013, his son-in-law Cyril Deschamps and his wife Alexandra have passionately and expertly continued this unique know-how.
Intravaganza is a whisky aging for 3 years in carefully selected Sherry casks, made from the Moscatel and Oloroso grape varieties, giving it rich aromas and remarkable depth.
This whisky is made without peat (Non Peated), offering a smooth and elegant tasting, ideal for lovers of fine and complex flavors.
