Whisky MICHEL COUVREUR - Spirale 26 years - 47%
\nThe independent bottler Michel Couvreur, recognized as an essential reference in the field of exceptional whiskies, was originally a renowned producer and merchant of Burgundy wines. In 1978, he turned towards the prestigious world of whisky, making his first distillation in 1986 at the Edradour distillery in Scotland. Despite his desire to acquire a distillery in Scotland, he ultimately settled in Bouze-Lès-Beaune, a strategic location halfway between Scotland and Andalusia, to specialize in artisanal aging and refining of whiskies, notably in high-quality Sherry and Port casks. The Michel Couvreur house offers a varied and refined range, the result of meticulous blending work, rigorous selection of rare casks, and constant experimentation with innovative techniques to enhance its whiskies. Since Michel Couvreur's death in 2013, his son-in-law Cyril Deschamps and his wife Alexandra have continued the family legacy with passion and expertise, strengthening the international reputation of this emblematic house.
