Whisky MICHEL COUVREUR - The 90'S - 47%
The renowned independent bottler Michel Couvreur originally was a winemaker and expert wine merchant specializing in Burgundy wines. In 1978, he developed a passion for the world of whisky and carried out his first distillation in 1986 at the Edradour distillery in Scotland. Although he initially planned to acquire a Scottish distillery, his wife opposed this, leading them to settle in Bouze-Lès-Beaune, strategically located halfway between Scotland and Andalusia. It is there that Michel Couvreur specialized in aging exceptional whiskies, mainly using Sherry and Port casks to impart unique aromas and incomparable richness to his spirits. The range offered is extremely diverse, the result of rigorous blending work, meticulous selection of rare casks, and innovative technical experiments undertaken daily. Since Michel Couvreur's death in 2013, his son-in-law Cyril Deschamps and his wife Alexandra have passionately and expertly continued this legacy of excellence.
The 90’s was distilled on December 15, 1990 and benefited from a long aging of more than 26 years in Oloroso casks, giving this whisky a flavor profile of rare complexity and remarkable depth.
