The famous Caroni Distillery was founded in 1918 in the iconic state of Trinidad & Tobago (The Trinity). This state-owned distillery includes its own sugar mill, ensuring a constant supply of very high-quality raw material, derived from locally grown sugarcane with recognized traditional expertise. Equipped with a range of sophisticated stills, combining columns and pot stills, this legendary distillery remained shrouded in mystery and secrecy for a long time. Indeed, only a few Caroni rums were bottled under their own label, making these expressions all the more precious. The spirits from Caroni are distinguished by their unique aromatic profile, blending powerful typical hydrocarbon notes, subtle sweet spices, and a gourmet touch of honey. Following a major crisis in the sugar industry, the government forced the closure of the distillery in 2002. This situation caused an incredible scarcity of its rums, raising their rarity rating while enhancing the very atypical and mythical character of Caroni.

Basdeo "Dicky" Ramsarran dedicated 20 years of his life to perfecting the art of distillation at Caroni. This exclusive batch, coming from only six barrels, was entirely aged in Trinidad & Tobago and represents one of the youngest and most authentic vintages of Caroni, prized by collectors and lovers of exceptional rums.
