Located in Souillac, in the heart of Lot , the Maison Louis Roque , a family distillery founded in 1905, has been perpetuating the art of artisanal distillation for over a century. A true emblem of Southwestern expertise, it stands out for its commitment to traditional methods, respect for the fruit, and manual labor, far removed from industrial logic.
Made from fresh plums (Ente, Mirabelle and Reine-Claude) harvested at perfect ripeness in regional orchards, Vieille Prune Réserve Impériale is the result of meticulous work: manual pitting, natural fermentation without additives, slow distillation in a bain-marie still according to the Charentaise method. The eau-de-vie is then aged for more than 5 years in oak barrels, then carefully blended to offer a consistent, rich and accomplished aromatic profile.
