SAVANNA - White Rum - Intense - L.23123 - 41.3%
The Savanna Distillery is located on the magnificent Île de la Réunion, a land renowned for its unique expertise in producing exceptional rums. Founded between 1948 and 1950 by the visionary engineer Émile Hugot, this historic distillery, initially situated in Saint-Paul, was integrated within the eponymous sugar factory. In 1982, Savanna strengthened its position by acquiring a distillation workshop specialized in producing light white rums intended for export. This strategy arose from a major partnership with a German leader, ensuring a constant supply of top-quality rum on the European market.
This acquisition marked a decisive turning point in the technological development of the Savanna Distillery, promoting increased diversification as well as continuous improvement in the quality of its products. Today, Savanna exports the majority of its rums to demanding professionals worldwide, affirming its place among the key players in the international market.
Like many renowned rum producers, the Savanna Distillery uses a batch fermentation, also known as the "mother tank" process, which consists of eight large fermenters of 100 m3<\/sup> each, complemented by a set of technical satellites. This artisanal and rigorous method guarantees controlled fermentation, synonymous with a rum of great organoleptic quality and unparalleled aromatic richness.
