HSE - White Rum - Cuvée of the Year 2000 - Bottled in 2004 - 50% ABV
HSE (Habitation Saint Etienne) is an iconic distillery in Martinique, with roots dating back to 1863 under the name Habitation La Maugée. Originally a traditional Martinican sugar mill, it was transformed into a distillery by Amedée Aubery in 1882, a visionary who modernized the entire estate. He implemented an innovative energy supply system using the Lézarde river, still used today for the natural dilution of sugar cane juices, thus ensuring unmatched authenticity and quality of the rum.
In 1994, following the judicial recovery of the former owners, Yves and José Hayot took over the property and launched significant renovation works. This effort allowed the estate to be classified as a Historic Monument, preserving its heritage while modernizing its facilities. Saint-Etienne rum benefits from traditional distillation, carried out in an exceptional Copper Creole column from the famous Simon distillery located in François, Martinique. This method ensures a pure rum, rich in aromas and faithful to local expertise.
This prestigious limited edition of the Cuvée of the Year 2000 was carefully bottled in 2004, offering a powerful white rum at 50% alcohol, perfect for enthusiasts seeking a unique and authentic tasting experience.
