This exceptional pack brings together the three unreleased Eastern Tales editions; a 2014 peated Ben Nevis Single Malt, a Jamaican Hampden <>H 2013 rum, and a Jamaican New Yarmouth 2009 rum:
*Eastern Tales 01 "The Rooster" is the inaugural release celebrating the opening of our Constantia gourmet restaurant in Bordeaux on September 6, 2024. Symbolizing loyalty, punctuality, and strength, the rooster, the tenth sign of the Chinese zodiac, embodies awakening and light. In Chinese culture, it represents a favorable omen, awakening spirits and dispelling darkness. This exceptional Single Malt comes from the Ben Nevis - Peated distillery, nestled in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. Distilled in 2014, it matured for 10 years in Bourbon hogshead casks (250 liters), allowing for subtle and balanced refinement. Bottled in April 2024 at cask strength (58.1%), only 140 bottles were produced, making this edition a prized rarity for collectors.
*Eastern Tales No. 2 "The Fish" is the second release dedicated to our Constantia gourmet restaurant inaugurated in Bordeaux on September 6, 2024. Embodying luck and abundance, the carp is an ancient and crucial symbol in Chinese culture, often used during Chinese New Year to wish prosperity and happiness. This exceptional Jamaican rum comes from the renowned Hampden Distillery. Distilled in 2013, it underwent 6 years of maturation in tropical climate, followed by nearly 5 years (4 years 11 months) in continental climate, refined in Bourbon casks. Its mark <>H (Diamond H) is distinguished by a high ester content between 900 and 1000 g/hlpa, ensuring intense aromatic richness. Bottled at cask strength in June 2024 at 66.4%, this rum is limited to 150 bottles, a true treasure for lovers of rare and powerful rums.
*Eastern Tales No. 3 "The Heron" completes this exclusive trilogy dedicated to our Constantia gourmet restaurant, open since September 6, 2024, in Bordeaux. Symbolizing purity, serenity, and prosperity in Chinese culture, the heron is often depicted in traditional art – paintings, ceramics, and poems – as a wish for happiness, success, and abundance. This exceptional Jamaican rum comes from the New Yarmouth Distillery. Vintage 2009, it is particularly sought after for its high ester content, a guarantee of powerful and complex aromas. Aged 15 years in ex-bourbon casks, it was bottled at cask strength in June 2024 at 61.2%. This rare edition is limited to 200 bottles, a gem to absolutely discover for discerning enthusiasts.
