Swell de Spirits is an independent, family-owned bottler located in Pessac, France. Founded in 2021 by Michael Barbaria and Kelly, this passionate house stands out by releasing numerous exclusive limited editions of exceptional spirits. Their rigorous selection includes rare rums, whiskies, armagnacs, and cognacs from the finest international distilleries, offering connoisseurs a unique and refined tasting experience.
Eastern Tales No. 2 "The Fish" is the second exclusive batch born from our Constantia gourmet restaurant, inaugurated on September 6, 2024, in Bordeaux. This rum symbolizes Luck and Abundance through the carp, a strong emblem of ancient Chinese culture, often celebrated during Chinese New Year to wish prosperity and success. This exceptional Jamaican rum comes from the prestigious Hampden Distillery. Distilled in 2013, it underwent a combined aging of 6 years in a tropical climate, followed by nearly 5 years in a continental climate (4 years and 11 months), in Bourbon barrels. Bearing the authentic mark <>H (Diamond H) with a very high ester content ranging between 900 and 1000 g/hlpa, it was bottled cask strength in June 2024, displaying a remarkable strength of 66.4%. Only 140 bottles were produced, making this edition a rare collector's item prized by discerning enthusiasts.

For this second installment of our exclusive collection, we head to Jamaica with this Hampden 2013 <>H. It is a rum with character, powerful and bold, faithful to lovers of high-ester rums. Its intense aromatic profile blends fruity and spicy notes, enriched by the unique Jamaican signature of solvents and fermented touches that give it all its complexity. This rum is best appreciated with patience, revealing an exceptional length on the palate that will delight the most demanding palates.
