SAVANNA - White rum - Creol 52 - Cannes Bois Rouges - Batch C.11.19 - Bottled in 2022 - 52 %
The Savanna Distillery, a true spirit jewel, is located on the magnificent Île de la Réunion. Founded and designed by the famous engineer Emile Hugot between 1948 and 1950, this iconic distillery was initially situated in Saint-Paul, where it was integrated into the sugar factory of the same name. In 1982, the Savanna Distillery strengthened its expertise by acquiring a distillation workshop dedicated exclusively to the production of light rum intended for export. This strategic decision followed a major partnership with a leading German market player, ensuring a regular supply. This historic turning point was the catalyst for the technological development of the distillery, which has since continuously diversified and improved the exceptional quality of its rums. Today, the majority of Savanna rums are exported to industry professionals, thus affirming their international reputation. The Savanna Distillery is equipped with a batch fermentation, also called the "mother vat" method, comprising 8 fermenters of 100 m3 each and all their satellite equipment. This batch fermentation guarantees a rum of excellent quality, rich in complex aromas typical of the Reunion terroir.
The Creol 52 is produced by the careful distillation of sugarcane juice grown locally on the Île de la Réunion, in a traditional Savalle copper column, ensuring remarkable finesse and purity in this exceptional white rum.
